Fish Attractant

I have two different kinds of fish attractant that I haven't had a chance to use yet. One is 'bubble gum' and the other is 'shad' flavor. I was under the impression that all brands would have some variation of a 'fishy' smell to which the shad flavor has. Can anyone tell me if and/or why a bubble flavor would work, has any attractant worked for them and which brand/flavor catches more fish?

i think color has more to do than smell most times chartreuse with any other color . pink chartreuse pink worked today for ragflyjigman
