    Default Oconee Slab 3/12/14

Yesterday I took a friend of mine fishing on Lake Oconee. We fished Sugar Creek and marked a lot of fish but the bite was real slow. We only caught four fish. I was feeling bad for Scott since he had driven all the way from Brunswick and his guide had failed him. At 4:30 Lake Oconee came through for us when Scott landed a 16 inch monster. He was thrilled and could not believe the size of the fish. He said it was the biggest "white perch" he had ever seen. It weighed 2.5 lbs. He also caught a 13 inch fish earlier in the day. The day turned out great. When we got home my wife fried some fresh "white perch" that I caught Tuesday on Jackson Lake. She also baked us a pecan pie. We sent Scott home fat and happy. The Lord blessed us as usual. Thanks to all of you on Crappie.com. and especially Jim, Doug, Brian and Richard. You guys freely share a lot of great information.

Now I know who you are, Hot! It was nice to meet you yesterday. That bite out there turned for the better in the afternoon. It was a great day for fishing....not so much this morning. You may have won the trophy for the biggest fish of the day. We didn't have anything that size yesterday. Great Job

Thanks. Chad said you all caught several. I think I saw one of your clients land a big blue cat.

Great fish Hotwater. It was good to talk to you and put a face with a name.
