Welcome and good luck rigging your boat.
Welcome!!! Glad to have you on the site! I can tell you from personal experience that I have met, fished with, and became life long friends with many people on this site! We're all like family! A big shout out to ED Moes...AKA>>> King goober for making crappie.com what it is! Need help with anything....Ask away...There's a bunch of ways to skin a cat and twice as many ways to catch crappie!!!! HAHAHA
Hello Ron and welcome!
Getting your boat rigged for crappie fishing depends on the style you want to use. I originally set up my boat for spider rigging from the front slow trolling. I have since started long lining. You will probably need rod holders. I have Tite Loks but I have been hearing a lot about SPYDER LOK holders (they look nice). Then you will need rods 10,12,14,16 feet long depending on your taste. Look for them at BPS and B'n'M to start. You can search CDC for information and go to you tube for crappie fishing/spider rigging. Hope this helps.
Welcome aboard.
Welcome aboard Ron, CDC is great and you will learn a lot. Altamaha has plenty of crappie and has been producing a lot of fish in the mouths of the creeks and sloughs this year.
Thank you all for the warm welcome. Looks like I've come to the right place. Going to do my best to make the CDC get together on Mar 28 and hope to meet as many of you guys and gals as I can. Thanks again.
