Yes they are comfortable. Not cushy feeling like a regular boat seat, but that cushiness goes away when the foam flattens after @30 minutes and your butt is on a flat piece of plywood or plastic!! My seats were OEM from 1998 and they are still in good shape looking at them, but the foam was wore out, just no support left.
foam comes in over 50 grades they use regular poly foam . if they would go to a better grade the price would go up and not sell good . i most times build my own no fancy rolls just a plain seat but does last a long time .a 3 0r 4 inch thick good foam rubber will be as comfortable as you can get .
Thanks for the info Rees Guide. I had a deer stand with the mesh seat. The bottom was real comfortable to sit on but the mesh back was useless. I put a cushion behind my back for support and comfort. I agree with Papa Sage, a well made seat with quality foam works better for me.Quote:
