Thumbs up Lake Jackson, GA - help please

I've been asked by a long lost brother to get him out. He's in the greater metropolitan Flovilla area and plans are to try to do it over the next couple of months. So Jackson seems to work since it's close to him. I have a 17' Procraft bass boat in good order and just have not been on Jackson for quite a while. My questions are:

    1. Boat ramp - do you think Reasor's Landing could work?

    2. Bait - where can I pick up some lively minnows willing to give all during the excursion?

    3. Can you share a fav color jig? I'm the typical Jiffy Jig guy and have the colors suited to Sugar Creek on Oconee. Figure those will work at Jackson too but thought it worth a shot to see if any color really stood out on Jackson.

Many thanks in advance. Your assistance is golden and will help a family mend. I promise to post pics. Jerry A

    1) Reasor's will work fine there is a $5 launch fee.
    2) On the way to Reasor's you will come to a 4 way intersection on Stark Road (no matter which way you come from). There is a Valero service station on the corner. They have all different kinds of bait.
    3) I don't troll much on Jackson but if I did I would use the following 2 inch curly tails: acid rain, John Deer, blue/blk/char, bubble gum, blk/char. Also consider slider grubs, stb grubs and tiny flukes. Good Luck!

Yellow with red head, and white with red head always does good at Jackson. There's a couple brush piles under the big powerlines that cross mid lake. Usely good this time of year. There's also good bit of fish in rock creek right now.
