    Unhappy Need ideas!

hey guys I posted earlier on the main forum, but I'm in need of some ideas on setting up my new jon boat for trolling and long lining for crappie. I use 12',10' and 8' grizzly jig pinnacle rods please post pics of your rod holder set ups or any advice, I had a triton 1860 with ez-t pole holders but I needed a smaller boat so I sold that one!

I would position all my rods where I thought would be ease of use from my sitting positions.Climb in boat and do some DRY FISHING from on the trailer.Be sure to move in all directions catch some slabs in the grass.Hope this helps

CHECK WITH LIGHT WIRE HOOKER...HIS BRACEWELL BOAT IS A STICK STEER TOO,,,He has Trollmax rod holders....The hardest chore you have is how to mount them to the gunnel ...maybe driftmaster has some bases for that round top

I would also check with Brandon at EZ.T. Pole Perch Rod holders. He will work with you for any application you need. I have used Troll Max for years and they are indeed good rod holders. On my newest boat, I went went EZT Holders and I am very pleased with them. They are less expensive and work great. $110 out the door for a set vs $180 + Tax for a set of Troll Max. Give Brandon a call and he'll tell you what he can do...478-319-9049 or Lake Talquin Lodge at 850-627-3822 for the Troll Max.

I use troll max on front but different rod holders on back. If you live close to Cochran be glad to help set up. I probably got extra set in shop that would work good on your boat. I normally troll 7 or 8 out the front and 6 out the back.
