    Default Night Fishing Oconee

Planning on a trip in the trees for some night fishing. Been around the Double Branches area with little or no luck. Thinking may be up in the trees near the river channel with a little bit more moving water? Thoughts?

Thanks for helping me confirm I'm on the right path... any help on some good areas? Trees on both sides of that big ole jumping rock heading north.

Oconee69...I gotta be honest with ya....fished Oconee at night a year ago...SCARED THE HELL OUTTA ME...I do all my trips during the day...catch just as many...safer...and get to sleep at night! If ur gonna fish at night... 1> make sure it's during the week!! less crazies out there! 2> if it's not during the week...get in the timber!!! ( i fished near Tornado point / flag pole between River bend and the Richland creek connector) the standing timber will protect you from any traffic....3> tie off to 2 trees....Dont drop an anchor you want to get back....those limbs and roots will lock one down!!! Good luck to ya and be careful ! Those Oconee Cruisers may get a case of the dumb dumbs at night! 25 + foot of water is your key this time of year....gotta have timber either exposed or timber and brushpiles 10 -12 foot from the surface
