Default Anyone Fishing Lake Seminole for Crappie

I never see any reports on Lake Seminole. Especially in the Bainbridge Ga area. Can anyone give a report of crappie/specks in the lake or Flint river

I also would like some info on crappie and other panfish down there. I haven't been there in years. Guess we just going to have to go and check it out for ourselves!

It is probably the best crappie lake in Ga. Maybe shell cracker too! Though, it is over run with bass fisherman and the grass can be a pain too. There have been a couple over 3 pounds brought in my boat over their in the past. Both in wintertime.

Crappielimits, how were you fishing for crappie there in the winter?

Casting jigs to river drop offs and spider rigging minnows. The fish are deep then, but come up to feed early in morning near grass mats. I stay within a cast and tight line as I move through. In the fall they tend to be in flooded timber. Never tried there in summer. Spring is pretty obvious where they are. This lake has a ton of structure and is loaded with crappie of all sizes.

Default Fished Lake Seminole this week

I was in Bainbridge Monday through Thursday. Crappie were tearing it up on lake Seminole. We put in at River Junction and worked our way up to old Jack Wingate Lunkers Lodge. Working stumps and downed trees. Fish suspended about 14 feet in 20 foot water. Sorry did not have camera. Average days catch about 60 per day on the water about 4 hours. Had a great time fishing with my Dad. 85 years old and knows the lake. He is better than any fishfinder.
