Default 04/01/14 Spider Rolling At Night On Clark's Hill

No joke. Spiderman and Quick left the Spider Shack early and headed to the hill on what would be a beautiful day and Spider Rolled for crappie. During most of the day the bite was on and off but when night drew near the bite picked up so we turned on the lights on the spider and spread our webs all around the boat and began to catch nice fish sometimes two on at a time kept around 40 largest being 4@ 1 3/4 pounds and most of the rest 1 1/4 lb with an occasional 1 pounder. Oh let me mention that a water snake tried to hitch a ride but I took the handle of the Cummings and knocked it back in the water after it somehow crawled up the back of the lower unit on the outboard and started to come over the transom into the boat with it's tongue out.Had a great time...thanks Spiderman...the joke was on the fish Name: 20140402_002952.jpg

Yea Quick we had a great time. I didn't know I had a snake charmer in the boat with me.. We learned a new technique that is going to be very useful in the future. Can't wait for next time.

Thanks bigfish for letting the cat out of the bag. Now you know why I use 16' B' n M' trolling rods. I need something that will pull a 50' trot line with 50lbs of weight at 1-1.5mph. Any other rod couldn't do that.

Spidey and Quick those are some good fish, may have to rig the G3 to accomodate this technique.
