Oconee 3-22
We fished Oconee Saturday in Richland creek and we got there right after daylight and the water temp had dropped to 52 degrees and we could not get the fish to bite. The fished are stacked up in the creeks but we could not get them to hit anything. We caught 9 real nice fish. Nobody else we talked to had very many fish and they weren't catching any either. I know they are biting killer up in Lick and Sugar creeks but we sure aren't having any luck. I thought for sure Saturday they would bust loose in Richland. My wife got hot from the sun all day and we had to leave at 5:00 or I think we would have caught some fish during the evening bite. So I might have done better if I could have stayed later but it is getting to be a bummer. I have never had this hard a time catching fish at Oconee. It was a beautiful day and we had a good time but we sure fished hard for what we caught. I shouldn't be frustrated about the fishing I should be thankful to be able to go. We had a great day as far as picnicking and eating. LOL. Good luck everybody fishing this week, Wes
