    Default Oconee questions

I was planning a trip to Oconee soon and was wondering what depth water the fish was being caught in? I mainly longline and shoot docks so I was trying to figure out what size hooks to pour. I am looking into going up the Richland arm unless people have had better luck around sugar/ lick creek. Any help is appreciated.

I dont pull that much, Quack, but from what I have and what I hear double 1/16 is what the fish are eating. Ask Crappiedaze. He's loves the dark side.

I shot a few docks last weekend and didn't catch nothing , but could push minnows in front of the same docks and catch some big ones. We longlined Saturday and found the fish to be in to tight of a spot for long line. We'd spend 20 min getting turned around just to drag the baits through the fish for 30 seconds. Sunday we pushed and did better . But right now every day seems different what worked yesterday might not work tomorrow and vice versa
Minnows are for kids<<<update this statement is being reconsidered!

True words spoken ! We were amongst 20 boats in lick on Tuesday and those of us longlining seemed to do better than pushers.... I do both..but for a reaction bite, it's tough to beat! After a 3 day warm up, fish move shallower and I know guys that smoked some big sows shallow pushing! Drive around, look....note the weather pattern ...fish have been deeper, but getting the itch! This cold snap may have Em pushed back mid to deep till later next week!

Hey Quick.....looks like the Jigslinger needs to learn how to spida-roll.. Come with me sometime Richard and I can show you how to get in spots like that with no problem. It won't take long to learn.
