    Default Oconee 3/11/14

Well went long lining yesterday. Caught around 50 kept the biggest 30. All fish between 11-14 inches. It was a very nice day. They bit with a fury the first two hours then the bite tapered off the rest of the day. Biggest fish today was
1lb 8oz. Quick and Jimmy were there, they limited as well.

PS You would have thought it was a Saturday by looking at the trucks in the parking lot. Guess everybody wanted to get their fishing in before the cold snap hits.

Way to go JC. The fish went off everywhere yesterday. I can't remember when my customers had such a big fish day. They kept 28, but what they kept was incredible. We weighed the biggest ones when they came on the boat. 2.9, 2.4, 2.0, 1.15 and the smallest fish we kept was 1.7. I almost cried I wish I would have weighed 7 of the biggest together to just see what that number would have been, but by far, it was the biggest day I can remember in a long time. My phone died so my customers had to take all the pics and the one I have is giving me a problem posting it. Ill post what they have when they send them to me. The biggest fish came off the back of the boat, which never happens

I haven't seen Quick, Jimmy or Country on the water in a long time. Y'all are flying under the radar for sure and y'all are getting way to sneaky. I bet quick got his boat painted in stealth colors now!!

Bigfishheads I wanted to cry as well after reading your post after seeing those weights, I came very close to coming to the area I think you were in, we could have tag teamed them. Congrats on your mega haul. Quick has stealth technologies build into his boat and truck, he can sneak up on you in a second and be gone the next. He did it to me on Sunday. Poof he gone!

Good to meet you Monday. Monday was tough. What do you think was the difference or should we just call it fishing?

Those were Crescent Lake weights, if anybody can catch them spider rigging Doug is the one to do it for sure!

PS Monday the wind was absolutely brutal for anyone trying to fish. Tuesday not so bad and warmer.
