    Default Friday 2/21 Sinclair

Sorry this report is not full of catching yet the lack there of. Started after the rain after quit around 10 this morning in the sandy run area. Water temp was around 53. Fished water 10-15' deep pulling minnows. Fish were few an far between. Grabbed a short lunch an went back to war. The bite picked up a little but every thing stayed short. Ventured out to deeper water on the channel edge but that was a bust as well. Ended they day with only one fish of keeper length (which is 10" in my book). Looking forward to tomorrow. It has to be better than today. But never the less glad to come down an try on this lake that seems to have my number. And enjoyed the time spent with my uncle, it was a pleasure.

I went across the lake about 1:30 by the plant as I was finishing my route and the wind had whitecaps on the clay [I mean water] Went up to Pea Ridge road and cut through to Twin Bridges and saw 4 deer, 2 racoons and a fox running across the lake took 45 minutes for their tracks to disappear. Hope to finish the boat this weekend and get at it next week.

Fished again today. We long lined a few jigs BG gum drop an black an chartreuse with no luck did manage a few on a hand tied squirrel tail jig tipped with a minnow.

Today we caught a few more than yesterday day we tried water 15-20'. An made the long run for us to the plant where we caught a few keeper but mainly dinks. An had to watch the disgrace of several folks keeping some small fish.

This lake is 3 an a half hours from the house but my uncle has a cabin here an our hunting club is down here so we come down quite often. But I'm spoiled get to fish lake chickamuga where the limit is less an there is a size limit as well so we catch lots of fish an big fish I come down here to take my butt whoopins.

We will get to fish a little in the morning an we have a another trip planned in march. I have occasionally done alright here just not very consistent.

I have been fishing here for the past 18 yrs an was wondering is this lake not clearer now ( well not right at the moment but all fall) than ever. I seem to remember it being as it is now all the time.

Saturday was pretty good for Sinclair. Ole man and I almost limited out by 1:00 with some nice fish. Where you at Detailman? After all the bass tournament guys left out caught nice fish around the steam plant for the first 3 hours. Then moved to another part of the lake and caught all sizes. Culled a few and came home around 2:00. Should only get better from here on. Taking the kids Monday. Water temp away from the plant 57.
