Water color is a nice pretty orange color above the Thomson Bridge. Found some water in the 50's but the fish were staged in the lake still. Down the lake the water color wasn't as bad. I like it for bass fishing with a spinnerbait but not for crappie fishing that much...until they hit the banks. Water temps in the main lake were running around 47'ish. Found one cove where the water was 54 degrees but didn't show any fish in it.

I expect this week to start some things into motion. Next week should be good if the weather cooperates.

For any hoghunters out there: I saw a huge boar today but he winded me and departed (would have been interesting with my .17hmr). One of the bigger boars I've seen in a while. Saw a few deer, a bobcat about 15 yards from my stand and a ton of squirrels. Not a shot fired but it was a great day to be in the woods. I have to get my hog hunting in before the crappie start their annual quest to the shoreline. Life is good.

Be careful out there. there was a huge sewage spill in the lake. one of the treatment plants overflowed in to it spilling like 50K gallons or raw POO.
I'd be careful out there and try not to hit any floating poo minds!!!

Just to clear things up, it was a lift station (pumps wastewater by pressure) that had a failing electrical board which in turn caused the pumps to not come on. So it overflowed. Not a treatment plant. But yes, it was raw poo and was more like 250k gallons i believe.
