    Default Oconee saturday morning

Mike and I pushed minnows over thrash piles and timber this morning at Oconee from 8 until 11:30. We caught around 60 and kept 21 with the largest ones weighing just over a pound. Most fish were around 2/3 of a pound.Pleasure boats were acting crazier than normal so we finally just gave up and left. COME ON COOL WEATHER!!!!!

Nice Earl, what kind of depth were you guys fishing?? Had plans to go night fishing Friday evening but my 16 year old fishing partner had other plans, it's looking like he's trying to catch a two legged crappie!, I tried to warn him but I think the attempt was useless, So I'll just have to go by my self if I'm going to get to go. Glad you did well!! I'm hoping the weather is going to hold off this week , I just tied up several rigs with 4#fluorocarbon and I'm going to try the dreaded lake Juliette one afternoon this week.Hopefully I'll get to post some pictures and a positive fishing report.

We fished in 15 to 40 fow. The fish were anywhere from 6 to 16 feet deep and holding tight to structure. Water temp was 87 degrees. Good luck at Juliette. I live about fifteen minutes from there.

Thank Earl , it's about 15 minutes from my house also, It's the reason that I bought the boat with a 25HP. If you have a free afternoon let me know.

Yes they do nothing over 25 hp, but you can use your trolling motor
