Thanks for the contact number. I tried to do my part yesterday at oconee. Caught probably 2 dozen or so throughout the day and only came home with 5. If they were less than 10 inches they went back in the lake. If you look at a lot of the other lakes in other states with lots of big slabs most of them have a 10inch slot size limit. If I'm not mistake the so called crappie capital of the world lake weiss in alabama still has or use to have a 10inch minimum.

If I am not mistaken, Grenada in Mississippi has a 12 inch limit.

Thanks. Will be calling him again soon. Been looking at the fish I have been catching lately and starting to think I need to change my personal limit to a certain length vs. a certain weight. Spring fish will weigh more at a certain length then they will later in the year. More to think about.

im pretty sure what they call the big three including weiss the limit is 12". i would love to see a 10" limit put on all lakes in georgia

I'm glad there are people that agree with me. Honestly guys 10 inch isn't that hard to come by. One I caught yesterday I could've sworn wouldn't be 10. It was 11.5 but it only weighed about a half pound. It was just thin bodied and not as tall as it was long like some slabs look like. I'm gonna shoot this guy an email.

One example of needing a 10" limit is one night last summer my wife and I were tied up in the stumps down by the dam at oconee fishing under lights. Well here comes this guy and his buddy in a boat and they tie up 50yds from us. Had the whole place lit up with colemans. They fished a few hours and left with a cooler full. Was catching fish every time we dropped a minner down. But not once did I see him throw a fish back. All went in the cooler and all were about 8 inch fish or less. The wife and I caught a bunch ourselves but I threw them all back. Heck by time you cut the head off there's not much left to eat.
