    Default Oconee Report Sat. 9/22/12

Well Dad and I ventured out on our first long lining trip this morning. To say I was pumped would be an understatement. Fished from 8-1, caught 30 crappie and kept 21, also had 3 nice channel cats. Water temp at 82 in the morning and saw it at 84 at noon. Trolled over submerged timber at about 8-10 ft down. Trolling Kalin's in the popular colors at .9-1.1 mph. Very nice day to be on the water. Water lice came out and wind got up to about 15 mph at noon. It's about to get crazy good when the water temp. drops a little more.

PS Tony Allen your A&R Lite-Wire jigs were the bomb! They saved me alot of break offs today. Thanks a million.

Dude...I thought You left the country!!!! I haven't heard anything out of you since last December or so.....I went last Thursday Afternoon and fished in 25-30 fow over some structure and caught quite a few....Nice to be out as the crappie are starting to do their thang....Boat traffic was suprisingly bad .....Can't wait till it's tooooo cold for them to ride and make my poles...bounce bounce bounce....damnit man... Going back Tuesday Morning ...No wind and no pleasure boaters...It's time to fish!!!!

Thanks guys, supposed to be 46 tonight at Greensboro. Will not take much of that to get things started. Golfpro hope you kill them Tuesday, we will have to put the hurt on them together this year in our spot. Until then tightlines!
