I went to Oconee sunday and caught a good many dinks in the stumps tightlining jigs about 10ft deep in 20ft of water. Tipped my jigs with minners and held them at 10ft until I got a bite. 2 weeks ago they were biting in same area but only like 4 or 5 inches long. Sunday they were about 7 or 8 so they seem to be getting bigger as time goes on. Once the water cools off some them slabs will come out of hibernation. Once it gets on down in the 70s water temp it will be on. Just hope my new Ranger comes in before it gets too cold as the wife and I are boatless right now.

Earl, its a 2013 Ranger Z118 Comanche. 18' 8". Going to have a 150 mercury pro xs. Wife and I were looking at them other day and she was like let's get one of those. I wasn't about to argue with that. She said it was purdy. Got a big wide front deck that extends to the consoles. Perfect for 2 people to sit side by side when spider rigging 8 or more rods. She wanted a certain color is why had to order it and wait 6 weeks or so. I feel like a lucky man to have a wife like her. She's a keeper. Lol!
