    Hey, I'm new to crappie fishing I have longline a few times. Are there certian times of year to troll is this a good time are is it to late in the year?

    Trolling is effective 12 months out of the year...Although dock shooting is very effective also during the hotter months..I troll 99% of the time and if I could stand the heat I'd be out there trolling in the dead heat of summer...Just my opinion.

    I 10-4 that!Thumbs Up Longlining works year round. It's all I do. You just have to find 'em and get the jigs to the depths they want it.

    Thanks for the quick replys. I will keep on trying this way. I do like night fishing in the hotter months.

    I used to night fish during the hotter months also....But now when the sun goes down, I wanna be real close to my bedRofl
