Lightwire....kkowboy gave me a pack of your jig heads one day while we was fishing a tree top on jackson. Man those things saved the day! That pack of heads lasted a long time, the only ones I lost were the ones that got wraped around something.

I am one cheap son of a gun. If I get hung up on a dock on Sinclair in the evening, I will go back early in the morning the next day in my kayak and get the jigs I lost the night before. The water fluctuates so much that I can actually get under the dock the next morning. Of course, I have to look out for Mr. NoShoulders. It is amazing how many jigs you go thru when you are dock shooting. Jigslinger you are correct, "If you ain't getting hung up and losing jigs, you ain't doing it right".
We were gonna try and go down to Talquin for 2-3 days late next week, but we are going to Seminole, FL instead and spend a few days with Dad...I don't get to see him often so I am looking forward to seeing him...May try to bend a lightwirehook while I am down there if I can get Norma Ann off the beach long enough!!
Best thing I've seen is a Hal-Fly/Jiify Jig type bait with a litewire hook. Good for dock shooting or any kind of fishing. Those litewire hooks r tha real deal
I have two teenaged squirrell fishermen they are keeping the tackle companies working overtime
I pour my heads, must have a hundred so ain't to bad to get hung up just hate to loose the jig but the ones I use the fish tear them up after 3-4 fish. You are right if you don't get hung up every now and then you are fishing in the wrong spot. I like River Hawk will get mine back if I can if it hangs on a rope would hate for a kid or the dock owner to reach for the rope and get a hook in there hand....Good Fishing...Dennis
If anyone wants to go with me one day with a snorkle and swim up under some docks at oconee then let me know. I figure we could stock up on some free Jiffy jigs on them cross members that Richard has gotten hung on.
What really sucks is when your spider rigging and pushing along in some timber and 4 or 5 rods bend over and you think you have hit the jackpot and got into a swarm of crappie and come to find out you got into the top of a tree and lose 4 or 5 at one time. Still trying to experiment with tying on a 3 way swivel and about a 1 foot piece of line with an egg sinker and then the other side of the swivel tie another foot of line and my jig. Sometimes the sinker will hit a limb and pull the whole assembly over and avoid hanging up but it don't always work out. May try going to 8 or 10lb test instead of 4 so I can try and save a few jigs. Lol
I like Jigslingers free tip for the day. Red/white jigs for dock shooting! HAHA!!!!!
