    Default Blackshear Friday

Got to Cedar at 8:30. Surface temp was 65 warming to 68 in the afternoon. Water was stained but good. Wind was blowing. Started out long lining down the creek channel. C lector said white, silver, chartreuse. Put on silver 1/16th jig head with pearl white body and chartreuse tail pulling at .9 and started catching hand size throwbacks. Started picking up better fish towards the back of the creek. When we got to the shallows back near the bridge, you could see the fish swirling in the shallows. Changed over to minnows under corks at one foot depth and immediately started picking up quality fish in the shallows next to the banks and cypress trees. Most fish were caught in 2 foot or less water depth. We ended up with 39 of which probably 90% were males and almost solid black. Don't have a way to post pictures.

Awesome job, that's how you fish a creek proper and figure out what's happening !!!! Be versatile and persistant !!
