    Default jackson 2/17/12

went to jackson again today. caught a few nice slabs from the 212 bridge. and some from the creek mouths around the same area. fish still seemed to be scattered. trolled a little and hooked into what i thought at first was a cat. diddnt fight much at first.it just kinda stayed at the bottom.then all of a sudden started darting all over. had my 10 ft rod bent to the stock. at this piont i thought it was a large mouth.till he got close enough to get a flash looked like a giant slab. he saw the boat and went crazy again tangled up a few of my lines got in the motor went back and forth under the boat. at one point i had all 10 ft of the rod straight down under the boat.couldnt get to the net so finally he came straight at me and i just pulled it right in the boat. a 14 1/2 in. 3 1/2 pound white bass. cant wait to go back.

How is the water at Jackson looking? I have heard from a few people that it is very low right now. Any trouble getting the boat in or around? I usually put in at Berry's.
