I have two boats that I would like to swap trolling motor back and forth between. I was wondering if any of you guys do this and what is the best way to accomplish this. I want to buy one nice I-pilot trolling motor and use it on my pontoon boat and my 15 ft sticksteer at different times. Thanks for any input. Andy

i ordered ne from bass pro shop was going to swapmine but the one i already had was different so you need to order 2 alike unles you could order 2 plates for the boat and 1 for the motor
retired and now i will always fish
Minkota sells them, check their web site. a tad pricey but convenient.
Andy you're gonna have to buy two complete quick release setups, both the same, and make sure you get a shaft length on the motor that will work with both boats.
I have this one on my boat. Pull the cotter pin, take out the handle and switch the motor over. You can lock it with a master lock to secure it against theft.
