Talking to the biologist at lake Talquin. A 10 inch fish has already reproduced so every 10 inch fish you take out of the lake has already repopulated the lake. At Talquin, the winter/early spring produces catches of 11+ inch fish........but in the spring at times you can catch many many fish that are less than 6 inches long in certain areas. In my opinion, many people bypass lakes in Ga to catch the larger fish that are managed by 10 inch limit 25 fish per person daily limit. If you want to get a ticket in Fl......keep a small fish. At Lake Blackshear last week, trolling the channel, we caught lots of fish of all sizes..........there seems to be a good population for many years to come.....and that's good for the fishermen and business in Georgia.
