    Default Lake Blackshear

Talked to 3 or 4 people today that went to BS yesterday (sat.) and they didn't do to well with the crappie, they also said that they are pulling water. Can any of you let me know if they are indeed pulling the water and when do they plan to stop. If you prefer, you can email me at: [email protected].

    Thanks,

I also talked with a friend that went to Blackshear on Saturday and he said it was slow...But I talked with another guy just a few minutes ago...He left Blackshear with 99 crappie and a 6lb flathead...He said he had some hogs!! (There were 3 in the boat, so they weren't over the limit) Said he threw a bunch of smaller fish back or they would have limited out.

Their lucky i stayed home to watch the sorrya#$ falcons attemp to play football. If I would have went, they would have pulled water like Saturday and no fish. Might plan to go tuesday if I can get off work early. The wife is having surgery Thrusday so my outdoors fun stuff is about to slow down.

When they pull water on blackshear does the bite normally slow down.i know that at oconee the bite picks up when they pull.seems like adding a current makes them more active.

Thats the way its works on most lakes but talking to an oldtimer at the lake Sat. he said it hurts the fishing? Have no idea why? I fish Eufula during March and April and always look at the generation times to plan my trip around them. Maybe some of you experts can educate us why it hurts this lake?

yep blacksher seams to be different than most lakes . most fish was cought befor 10:am .i cought 13 inch 15 minitues after i got setup troling and then nothing .set up between 9:00 am and 10:00 AM. 11 smaller ones after that till 4:00PM.
they probabley started bitting after 4:00 PM. if you could stay on the channel ledge the bite was better but when you have 20 boats troling that is a probablem and a 10 mph wend gust every now and then ..

ps just got through eating some of sat. catch
retired and now i will always fish

The number you can call is 229-535-6275 and they will answer any questions you have. There is no set scedule that I know of pulling the water. Like Papa said, if you could stay on the cahnnel ledge I feel that you can catch alot. I'm going early tomorrow and will report later.
