went to oconee sat the crappie seemed to be really scattered. tried tightlining in the stumps at sugar creek. caught a few dinks. spider riged for a while and caught a few more dinks.trolled for the rest of the day and caught six nice slabs 1 to 1.5 lbs. i found that the faster i went the more bites i got. gps shoed about 1.3 mph. so i added a 3/4 ounce split shot about a foot above the 1/16 ounce jig to get the bait down to the depth the fish were at. it didnt seem to matter what color jig all the fish were caught on a different color.it also seemed the bigger the minnow the better.most of the fish were caught in the creek chanel close to the island in about 17 ft of water.hope this helps some of you guys.if anyone else is having any luck i would love to know what your doing. good luck to you all.
