lake oconee report sat nov 26
went to oconee sat the crappie seemed to be really scattered. tried tightlining in the stumps at sugar creek. caught a few dinks. spider riged for a while and caught a few more dinks.trolled for the rest of the day and caught six nice slabs 1 to 1.5 lbs. i found that the faster i went the more bites i got. gps shoed about 1.3 mph. so i added a 3/4 ounce split shot about a foot above the 1/16 ounce jig to get the bait down to the depth the fish were at. it didnt seem to matter what color jig all the fish were caught on a different color.it also seemed the bigger the minnow the better.most of the fish were caught in the creek chanel close to the island in about 17 ft of water.hope this helps some of you guys.if anyone else is having any luck i would love to know what your doing. good luck to you all.

I was in lick creek saturday afternoon. Got a late start so only fished for about 3 hrs. Spider rigging in 14 ftw about 5-6 feet deep. caught a few nice ones....and a bunch of dinks myself. Are you still seeing most fish in 17-20 ftw???? figured they'd b coming up a bit by now. The water temp was about 61-62 Sat.

yes went out again this weekend. in sugar creek you find most of the fish suspended in 16 to 20 fow and holding between 17 to 13 ft. even in the stump fields. personally im a little confused it doesnt seem normal

Oconee water must be a little warmer than Clark Hill. Our temps are about 55 degrees now. Alot of fish are being caught on the hill longlining jigs about 10'-12' deep on the flats with water depths between 14'-16' deep. Fish arent holding to brush so much now...theyre following the bait onto the flats. Find the bait and youve found the fish.Thumbs Up

LOve it when they follow the bait up on the flats like that.
