    Default Talquin (4 Dec 11)

The bite has been pretty good this week. Good fish were caught between Freeman Creek and the Dam in the open water. Best colors for me was bubblegum and Acid Rain. Using double 3/32 litewirehooks.........Here are a few pics.....The ones with the calm water was 2 weeks ago, one showing someone following me out, and the first fish this morning. ?????? Rawhide was there but left the landing early that morning. Both he and Chuck caught some "good Ones"......We even ate fish for supper friday night. Your repaired rods are at your camper.

Glad to see someone got some calm water. Son came down from Alaska so we spent most of the week with our version of "Talquin Deadliest Catch." We caught some nice fish in the afternoons and thrusday afternoon ( finally no white caps) was great. We have at least one war story from the week, son fail-out of the boat trying to catch a rod from going into the water. Scared old dad to death! Told him that i have no problem buying new rods but can't replace a son! Keep you butt in the boat!Doh

I'am not saying that Chuck and I caught a boat full of hogs but when you keep out 20 filets to feed 5 grown men and have to send fish 10 campers down to finish them up you've caught some nice fish. Windy in the morning and calm after lunch. I found the bigger fish in open water and not real deep. Had a great trip and will be returning after the next front blows thru.......
