Default Meeting At Ther Lumberyard Report (Nov 5)

The Get Together this weekend at Talquin was a great time that many of us had. The food and fellowship was great. It was good to meet some new firends and put faces with the names and just as good to see old friends. We had approximately 50 people there to eat with us today and Heavylead and Hooker did an outstanding job cooking. The fishing wasn't great but there were some quality fish caught under some windy conditions on Friday and Saturday. The wind sent a few people home after the fish fry...I don't wont to hurt any feelings, but they should have stayed!!!....We went out this afternoon and caught 26 Talquin Slabs...Hooker done very well also, as well as Quickhook...Another boat with us also was pulling em in...Those big boys turned on this afternoon and I am hoping they stay that way at least until I leave tomorrow....Leaving here tomorrow after lunch and headed back home and I'll try to put some pictures on here then....Thanks to all that came out and made this weekend a great time!!!!!

I went back out this morning and fought the wind some more. I was a little late getting there because my buddy's boat wasn't running right, so he and his partner went with me. We only got a few and the wind was cold and gusty. We gave up early and went back in. A few others that stayed out there did pretty good considering the conditions....Now I am working on posting some pics from this weekend...Going to post them on the GA Off Topic Forum for anyone interested. It sure will be nice to be back in my own bed tonight after 10 nights away, but I am looking forward to my next trip to Talquin!!
