Been lurking for awhile and decided it's time to get involved. I'm a falconer from Dodge County and hunt squirrels and rabbits with a redtail hawk. Our season goes out today so maybe I can get some fishing done. My wife is going to disown me if I don't get her on the water soon. I can see there is a wealth of experienced crappie fishermen and women on here. I've never done a whole lot of crappie fishing and I look forward to learning all I can and contributing if I can. We're planning a trip to Blackshear in the next couple of weeks. That may be a little late but hopefully we can still pick up enough for a mess.

Welcome to th e Georgia Crappie.com family. Please consider coming to the annual Lake Blackshear Get Together March 24th. Some will be camping all week. Gonna have a great time and the crappie will still be on full spawn.

welcom jackson to the site . we do have some good trolers like T&T lightwirehooker and some i can`t remember . that is something you will have to pratice on like speed jig weight or how much weight to put inbetween the jugs to git mor depth at the speed you want to go.

Jackson, Welcome from Gray, Ga. Speed is critical and if you have no way of knowing how fast you are trolling you can not control your bait depth. The more time you can put in on the water pulling jigs in different depths the quicker you will learn what works for you. Good luck!
