Hey guys! I'm new to the sight, been hunting and fishing all my life! I haven't fished for crappie in about 20 years.
My Granddad and Dad fished exclusively for crappie and really didn't do anything else but work. I have to say that the main reason I haven't crappie fished in a while is because my dad passed 20 years ago and my granddad passed about 18.
it's still hard for my to go out on the lake with out them. However now I'm a dad and my son also loves to hunt and fish.
so to make a long story short , I started telling my son about all the good times I had crappie fishing with my folks so he's talked me into buying a boat and trying to carry on the tradition. I'm a bit rusty and have forgotten more than I could remember so any pointers and tips will be greatly appreciated. We live in Macon Ga. And will be fishing Oconee, Sinclair, Juliette, Jackson, Blachsher and Westpoint. We are eager to get started and plan on trying to catch some this summer and get a head start on learning the lakes. I really like the sight and it is full of some great information .

welcom to the site Chad . i fish Blacksher mostley and georgia vetrans state park is my favorit campground . hope to venture out now that i am semi retired . maby we will met up over ther some day . we will have a gittogather there next year about the last oo march . keep looking for a date that will be posted soon and make plans to be thare .
Sure thing Papasage! I'll do my best to make it. Is anyone catching any fish down there this time of year? From what I'm reading on the sight, it looks like I need to do some night stalking to catch fish this time of year. So my plan is to set up the boat up with some lights this weekend. I'm itching to get back on the water.
yes they have ben catching a few in the early morning befor the pleasur boaters git out and the wind gits up .better if you can go during the week dayes. you might git in tuch with ragflyjigman he can show you some good dock to shoot if you like to do that .he also make a good jig for that.

you will find hem on the ga. bord where he posted or go to top and click on comunity and member search will be on the list . he lives in cordeal about 6 miles from state park .
I have been hanging around the site for a few months mostly on the main board. I figured since I now live in Georgia I need to frequent these boards as I have not had much luck fishing these Georgia lakes. Also just bought my first boat so I have a lot to learn as I have been a bank fisherman all my life.
