Bumper.....That looks like a cross between a black and a white crappie. Has the markings of a black and the mouth of a white. Either way, nice fish. How much did he weigh?

I did not wt. the fish but it was 20 in. long. I didnt have any scales with me and wanted to release before it was stressed out. This crappie came originally out of the Coosa River years earlier. A friend of mine built this lake and asked me to bring some fish from the River and stock. I stocked with Crappie-Bass-Bluegill-Shellcracker. I had permission to fish and often carried my G-children here to fish. BB

BB.......That explains a lot. To me, the Coosa has some of the best crappie fishing around. Just wished I lived a little closer to it. No telling how old that fish is? Thanks again for the pic. and keep me posted on that Coosa bite.
