Default Crappie Fishing is Picking up at Lake Blackshear

I went alone about 2 or 3 days ago and got on the water at daybreak. First started to fishing for catfish and they were biting really good. Cought around 17 nice eating size channel cat in less than an hour. Then decided to go looking for a few bream cause there was a large mayfly hatch out and cought 7 nice size bluegill. Changed directions again and decided to fish for some crappie before coming home. Was pleasently surprised to find the surface temp at 81. Ended up catching 15 crappie under Hwy 280 bridge pitching jigs and with minnows under a slip cork. Cought all the crappie in one spot. I think they will be biting really great by Monday.

Sounds like a good mixed bag of fish Rusty. Between the cats, brim, and crappies I'd say you had a great morning. Congrats.
