jim i can see where you are coming from . we had a vetinaron here that leased some land for a club . it turned out not to be a club . it was his and he let whoever he wanted in . no club meating and decicing what was the rules . he made the rules no one knew where the money went some would ask and he would tell them it was non of their buisness . the othe clubs would git togather and have meeting and deside on different thin g and he didn`t
i don`t hunt . my soinlaw was in it .

Jim - Maybe age has something to do with it. The older I get the less thrill I get out of shooting a bird or animal. My daughter and son-in-law purchased 60 acres of prime hunting ground for quail, squirrel, rabbit, deer, and turkey several years ago. They allow very few people to hunt there so the competition for a place to hunt is nil. Two years ago I bagged a three bearded turkey. That was the last year I hunted. Both spring and fall turkey season coincide with our best crappie fishing and I had little or no misgivings about giving up the hunting for the chance to spend more time crappie fishing.
This is going to be a tough decision. I usually hunt with my brother in law and a friend or two. I had mentioned this to my BIL and he understands and will support whatever I decide. I probably won't make a final decision until September. That should leave me enough time to get a reservation at Ingram's if I decide to take that route.

Boatstall probably said it best. Go where you can, when you can, while you can b/c you never when you might not be able to again. It's a tuff decision but I have basically quit deer hunting since I learned to crappie fish but that was and easy decision for me since deer hunting was never THAT appealing. If I had to make a choice b/w turkey hunting and fishing that would be different but luckily I fish all winter and then when the crappie go shallow....I go hunting!!!!
