The problem is that all of the candidates are politicians. We all know what politicians are. Kinda like deciding which chicken thief you want to guard the hen house.

I think we are all disgusted with the choices we have for President. As my father once told me is this same situation, you HAVE GOT TO vote for the one that will do the least amount of damage. I am afraid that canidate is John McCain. Obama is a liberal socialist. I cannot even imagine what will happen to this country if he is elected. I have NO USE for McCain, but if we do not all vote for the one that can do the least amount of damage, Obama will be our next President. What a nightmare waiting to happen.
I am with RIVER HAWK please vote for the one that will do the least damage McCain. If someone (Congress, Senate) would grow a set and start drilling in the US so we would be less dependent or even independent of Middle East oil. It is my understanding that we have more OIL SHALE available in Colorado than in the Middle East. With the high price of oil now it would be cost effective to drill the OIL SHALE in this country. Just my 2 cents.
I agree with all of you that the government as done anything to stop this kaos of gas prices, but don't let the oil companies off that easy. You don't rake in record profits in the billions of dollars each and every quarter from charging a reasonable price for oil. Yes, we are taxed heavily on gas, but those taxes go to repave and pave the road system that you and I drive on daily. These taxes have to increase with petroleum prices because after all ashpalt contains petroleum. Everything in our country is based somewhat on petroleum whether it be purley for transport or actually containing oil. With oil companies making these record profits our country will go into recession and then depression. It is only a matter time. People cannot keep affording this. And I also agree that we need to wake the polar bears up in Alaska and start tapping into our OWN oil. But I guess in the mean time we need to catch all the fish we can to feed our families in the future!!!!!
yea i think mcain might do the least amount of damge..you guys beware if the anitichrist gets in there...make sure you are right with the LORD because times running out.
Ya know what seems odd to me???...Everyone I talk to,the posts I read, the people I work with, the people I correspond with over the internet,my close friends and family, I mean absolutlely everyone I know talks against Obama and will be voting against him. Does the media have him THAT built up or what????:confused::confused:
I heard a story yesterday that China is drilling just far enough off the US coast to be legal. The deal is they are drilling vertical to a point and then horizonal so they can get to the oil under US soil. I do not know how true it is.
For what it is worth, there is no doubt I will support McCain in Novemeber, prior military has proven to have a good track record. Just my personal opinion.
Your China drilling story is absolutely correct. The tree huggers in the house and congress will not let the oil companies go after the abundance of oil we have in this country. By the way, Jimmy Carter is the one that made ANWR untouchable for drilling. Remember his speaches that we were running out of oil back in the 70s. We have more oil and natural gas than any other country in the world. Drill here, drill now, SAVE MONEY!
As far as Obama is concerned, the media has placed him on a pedistal. It is all liberal media hype. He is a liberal socialist that MUST BE DEFEATED!
Ya'll please 'scuse me, MS boy here -
but I'm not against drilling more in Alaska as such,
but do you think if we let them, the oil co's will drill it,
sell it on the open market, and the end result will be -
Alaska oil fueling China, oil co's making even more profit, our wilderness hurt more,
and gas still the same price?
