Snapper season opened on June 11, so I jumped in the truck and headed to Dad's. Day 1 we limited out on big Reds and I caught my personal best Red Snapper a 30 incher. Day 2 was the same we limited out again on big reds, and I caught my PB Gag Grouper a 31 incher. We couldn't go out Saturday due to high seas, so we trout fished, caught a bunch of shorts, very few keepers, water is to warm in the flats for good trout fishing. I did catch a Blacktip Shark, trying to catch a Cobia. It was a great trip, looking forward to going back for more big snapper action in two weeks.
