Angry Turkeys and Too many Hens

Three of my buddies came down last week and we set out to thin out the Turkey herd. The 4 of us did manage to kill 6 of these corn stealing birds but only a small % of the problem. Many Georgia Counties need a Hen season. There is just too many of these birds and so easy to kill.

What do you folks think? Is there too many birds in your area?

Not too many in Houston/Dooly Counties. Coyotes, bobcats, and poachers keep them thinned out pretty good. Seen a few toms/jakes and very few hens this year. Never got a pic on cameras over corn. Think hogs & deer kept them turkeys moving to other food sources. Also a lot of farmers planted rye instead of wheat this year. It got head high with the warm weather and rain. They won't stay where they can't see around them. Just what I seen this year.
