Default Give Thanks Everyday For The Many Blessings You Have Received

My sweet Momma turned 90 on Friday, and I was busy cooking for her party on Saturday at her assisted living home. I had to run to Walmart early Saturday morning to pick up a 9 and a 0 candle. When I got to the check-out, I proudly told the lady I was getting these candles for my mothers 90th birthday party later today. She looked me in the eye ( with a look she was reflecting on her own life) and said " What a blessing". As I exited Walmart tears began to fill my eyes. Those simple words struck me as profound, deep to my core. What a blessing to have someone that has loved you all of your life unconditionally. Someone who has stood by you even when you were in the wrong. Someone that was proud of your accomplishments even when you could not recognize them yourself. What a BLESSING to me, my family and to the world. WHAT A BLESSING! I give thanks several times a day for the many blessing I have received in my life, but sometimes a few simple words from and outside observer make you realize maybe more thanks should be given or maybe we can never say THANK YOU enough!
