I live about 3 miles from the Intercostal waterway , a friend told me about a good whiting drop , I put my 12 ft. jon boat in and ran to the drop. anchored in 40 ft. of water. had jist caught one whiting when a BIG boat came by at full throttle pushing a big wake. my anchor rope was tight with no slack and I knew I was in trouble, I put on my life jacket just as the first wake broke over the bow, I thought I was going down but the anchor rope pulled a little slack and the next wake did not come over the bow. I pulled the anchor and came home. started looking for a bigger boat for salt water. I wanted the one sage rebuilt, had the money but was afraid I might get in the medicare dough nut hole and need the money to pay for my medicine so I passed it up, I found a 14 ft. open fiberglass boat with a live well and bought it. it needs some glass work but will make a good boat when I am finished with it. will post some pics when I am finshed with it. may ask for some advice from you experts. Thanks. Jimmy S.
