No problem. I also have odds and end parts I have removed from old boats if there is anything else you may need, fuel tanks, seats, cleats, etc. Just give me a holler.
Done any work on your boat lately?
Sorta at a stand still on it right now...A torn tendon in my elbow has got me down for now, but I'll be back on it soon.
Hey, TnT love the work you have done on your boat. I'm fixing to do the same thing to mine. A buddy of mine gave me a fibberglass walk thru windshield ski boat with a 90. It's only 16 1/2 ft long but still free. I have never taken on a project like this and I hope you don't mind me asking a couple of questions. Are you going to fibberglass everything(all the wood)? What did you use around the edge of plywood and fibberglass on floor to fill in the gap?
Hey Eatmorecrappie...I don't have much money in the boat and I don't plan on putting alot of $$$ into it...It's just gonna be a fishing boat...MY fishing boat:p I used regular plywood and treated it with Cop-R-Tox and I coated it thoroughly and twice on the edges with the Cop-R-Tox. The next step I am going to do is coat all the wood and existing fiberglass with Ultra Tuff Coat, which is a rubberized coating sorta like Rhino Liner. The gaps I filled in the best I could with treated wood and epoxy and they shouldn't be seen after the Ultra Tuff Coat is put on. I have been putting the boat on hold the past few weeks while I was nursing a torn tendon in my elbow, but I hope to start back on it in a week or 2....Hope to have some more pics soon.
Still haven't made any progress on the boat due to my elbow, but I decided to at least get outside and give it a good bath...It cleaned up really good!!...A little TLC and some wax should make this boat look terrific!!...Then I'll get to work on the trailer.
Here is a before and after pic of the back of the boat:

Like a meth addict thats been thru rehab. She cleaned up well. Bet ya cant wait to get her all done and get some scales in her.
Well, I started on the inside today. I had a friend to talk me into trying something different than what I had originally planned on using. It has worked real well in his boat and it was more than 1/2 the price of what I was going to use. So off to Lowes I go and I found just what he told me about at $34.95/gal. When I took it to the paint counter to get them to shake it up, the gentleman working there says " It's a shame you didn't want a Tan color. We have a couple of gallons here that we mixed up for a guy yesterday and he didn't like the color so we marked them down to $5.00/gallon." I instantly replied "I'll be damned..Tan is my favorite color!!"....I have the inside all primed and ready and hopefully have the the inside completed by tomorrow.

Looking good Tim. Will it be at Talquin in November?
After several hours of sweating in the heat and 4 coats later, I think I have the inside ready to start putting all the goodies in it!!!:cheers2

looking good, hope it all comes together for you with few headaches or "elbow aches".. GL
I found a great deal on some seats this past weekend...Just couldn't afford to pass this deal up!!..I still have a couple of modifications to make but these seats will be read to install tomorrow..The seats in the front and back of the boat that we fish out of will be the same seats.

ALL I can say is NICE! Looks great.
I finally got the seats installed and decided to find a place for my GPS. This was the only place I could find that was close enough for me to see and operate it, but I think it is going to work out well there.

Before I pull any more accessories off my other boat, I want to get my livewell built and put in the this boat. I may want to hit the PFA another time or 2 and I'll need my 798 and TM...So while I am waiting on the livewell, I found some Polishing compound and thought I'd start cleaning up the outside hull and see how it is going to look...Wow!!!!

I wouldn't recommend doing this job in July, but the results turned out phenomenal!!! The whole boat was oxidized, but not real bad. So I gave it a work over with some rubbing compound and spent the past 2 days waxing it. If you want to "realize" just how big your boat is, try waxing it in July...But at least now it is ready to start decking it out with all the accessories. The trailer is definitely going have have to have a makeover on it now...Hopefully I can start back on it in a couple of weeks after I get back from Vegas.

Very nice job!! Can't imagine the manhours!............Any idea what the dry weight is on it or should i say was on it before the overhaul? Looks like it would be pretty darn heavy, which should help out in the rougher seas that Talquin is known for.
Not sure of the dry weight, but it can't be much heavier than the crap I took out of it...Gas, TM and batteries will be the only real weight left to add.
Looks good, now win me some money.
I toughed out the heat and humidity and got a little bit more done on the boat...Really getting close now. Electronics and trolling motor are now ready for the water. Put the seats in also. Still have to put the rod holders, on board charger, livewell and stereo in...Maybe by next weekend I can finish it up :cheers2

The boat is 99% crappie ready with the exception of the livewell!!..I have a friend building a livewell for me and it should take a couple of weeks or so before he will get the time to build it..All electronics, (all but the stereo) are installed, rod holders, on board charger and rod holders were installed this weekend...Now to do a makeover on the trailer and I'll be set!!!

I finally got the trailer ready...All but the wheels...The pic before I painted doesn't really show how much work was needed. And when I removed the running boards, I just gave them a good yank and they came right off Hopefully tomorrow I'll have the boat and trailer ready to tow down the road!!!

Finally have it ready for the road and the water. Still have a couple of decals on order and I have a friend working on a livewell for me, but I can work around that... I am planning on taking it out on the lake for the first time sometime this weekend. It ran good in the 25 acre pond I had it in last week and hopefully I have got all the bugs worked out...As you can tell by the first picture, the boat has been "Hooker Approved":Rofl

Man that boat and trailer look good . BULL DAWG RED AND:highfive BLACK
MAN, it looks good.
I took the stickers, decals, tape, whatever it was off the cowling so I could start painting it this week and this is what was under all that stuff!!!! Different, but kinda cool!

I also didn't like the rod holder situation on the front of the boat....The T-Bar configuration just don't do well in this type of boat...The rail on the front was just in just way, so if ya can't beat em, join em!!..Gonna put 4 on each side.

will be ok if they don`t turn on thst rail . i tried a clamp on a hand rail and they would turn .
I was concerned about them moving too and if they did I was going to use a split piece of rubber hose...But they are tight just like they are.
I think I have finally got the rod holder situation figured out and taken care of...I love the spacing between the holders...Livewell is the last thing to do now!! This is what I have ended up with:
Attachment 102295Attachment 102296Attachment 102297Attachment 102298
Tim......I'm assuming the T-Bar wasn't tall enough to clear the rails and you still be able to angle your rod tips where you wanted? I think those rail mounts are going to be 10 times stronger than the T-Bar anyway. If the front ones don't turn w/ you, I think you've got a real winner. Very nice addition to an already great boat!!
Yep Craig...The bar just wasn't tall enought for the very back holder to clear the rail. The way it is now on front, it frees up some room and they do not turn, or at least with out really putting a helluva lot of pressure on them. It also freed up some space in the back by not using the T-Bar. The T-Bars are great holders with the right boat, but they just didn't work out for this boat. But I am satisfied with the way things have worked out so far...Gonna test 'em out at Blackshear tomorrow.....Thx for the compliment!!:highfive
Finally done with the boat... Let's go fishin' :fish My boat or trailer shouldn't be to hard to find :ThumbsUp
