    Default country carport shop?

i haven't been on here in a while(working a lot)and was seeking some input on a carolina carport type shop. i've priced the steel buildings and stick built but the carport type is cheaper. does anyone have one and what are pros and cons? i'm looking at a 24'x24', 10ft. sides with a roll up door and a walk in. i priced it with 2 diferrent companies @$5k plus slab, wiring etc. i know the steel is a better option but with concrete footers the concrete cost goes way up. i just want something to pull my boat or truck into to work on and have a 'doghouse' if the wife gets mad! i've got 2 standard size country carports i keep all my stuff under and for the life of me i can't remember who put them up. it wasn't carolina carport but i remember them saying they were from north carolina.

Hey guys I have Carolina Carport that I keep my boat under.I did the wiring myself or my son-in-law did, I mostly just watched.
I do not have a door but I am considering getting one. It is24x24 and sits on a gravel pad. I talked with them about a concrete but they convinced me that the gravel would work better, draining better and stronger. They must have been right because I have had for ten years and it survived a tornado this last labor day.
It has been worth very penny.
