Some of you may have heard about the big General Mills distribution center coming in. There's a chance I may transfer in.

Tell me about the atmosphere, schools, crime, and most importantly FISHING in the area

    Default Blue Willow Inn

Get your $12.95 ready and head on over to the Blue Willow Inn and load up on some great southern cooking. They have a daily noon buffet that is worth the trip. Welcome to the deep south. Also, you'll be within an hours drive of some nice lakes.

    Thanks guys.

I come from small towns in Virginia so I do enjoy rural living. I've been to downtown Atlanta a few times and felt like a fish out of water...much less Richmond, Va.

You guys have gators in the water down there?

Ugh... yep, we do have gators in Georgia waters. Mostly in the Southern part of the state. At least that's where I've spotted them.
I've heard Georgia Gators love the taste of Virgina folks... said they taste just like chicken. Be careful.

Just funnin ya... Gator attacks are so rare in Georgia... I don't recall hearing of one ever. It happens, rarely, in Florida... but it's usually because of someone being stupid.

Come on down and join us!

Sinclair and Oconee are just a short 1 hour trip from Social Circle. It was funny that the Blue Willow's $12.95 Lunch Special was the first thing mentioned. I eat there about once per year and it is always INCREDIBLE. Absolutely the best southern cooking I have ever eaten. The Blue Willow should definately be your first stop when you get moved in.

Thanks for the advice on the eats. I will definitely check it out if I end up down there. I think there's a good chance I will. Sounds like there's plenty of water to fish, which will be much appreciated!
