    Off Topic

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Microbilt2, this is off topic and should be posted on the off topic- multiuse board. next time please post topics as this there please. thank you. Jimmy S.

Jimmy S. caught some heat from this post. It seemed polite and to the point to me. He has also made this same post with others on this board when the post was not pertaining to actually catching and fishing. And there have been some Off Topic issues that he hasn't said anything about that were posted on the main forum. Regardless to how he has handled it, Jimmy is our moderator and in my opinion he does a fine job of letting us talk about anything we want to as long as we keep it clean. There is one "Moderator" that will just delete your posts if they do not like what is being said. I personally didn't see any harm in the "Torn Carpet" thread because it pertained to a boat that is Used for fishing, the same goes for the post about BnM rods, being on the main forum, but Jimmy S or whoever the moderator is needs to try and draw the line somewhere to keep things in perspective. I think we have good moderators on the GA Board (including Off Topic)

Tim I agree with your comment. I'm afraid alot of people dont read the Off Topic section. Maybe this is why people are not using it. But I do hope he gets help with his boat. By the way Tim are you going to be a Blackshear next month for the Slabfest?

Probably not...I am going to spend more time at Talquin this year than what I did last year.

Guy's, you need to lighten up on Jimmy. The man is trying to do his job as best he can. Sometimes as a moderator you make a mistake. When you do the right thing, there's no thanks, but make a mistake, and all you hear is whining. I'm a moderator on a walleye site, here's their statistics, Threads: 159,779, Posts: 1,157,446, Members: 28,960. Every couple days I'm ready to throw in the towel with people complaining. Sometimes it's even the moderators arguing between each other as to what should go and what shouldn't. I didn't see the original poster complain about Jimmy's comment. Maybe folks should let Jimmy and him work out any differences, if there is any, rather than try and start something.

If some of yall had to follow those rules that it had to pertain to catching then yall would still be stuck at 0 posts

If you look closely, I was pointing out that Jimmy S did not single out just one person. He has mentioned this several times before with other posts. Yes, the member was relatively new to the forum and Jimmy S was just letting him know in a polite way about the Off Topic Forum. I feel like Jimmy S was getting beat up for doing his job as a moderator and I honestly believe he is doing a good job of it, especially over the past few months. If that offends you Shellcrap, please accept my apology. But there is one thing Jimmy S does, that at least one moderator I know of does not do, he will let us agree to disagree without closing the thread or deleting posts. Jimmy S and Birddog are as fair and open minded as they come.

Think you took me the wrong way there TnT....i dont care one way or the other about any post, where it is placed or what it is about or whether it should be on off topic or not! I was just trying to provide some humor to the situation. I think there has become a lot of grown men/women on here getting their lil panties in wad over nothing and its really sad in all honesty. Becoming quite comical actually getting on here and seeing the newest thread. What happened to everyone getting on here to exchange ideas, insight, reports and stuff fishing related instead of getting on here with the sole purpose of seeing what they can stir up. I don't think i have a single enemy on here, yall are all friends that i love to share info with (although my info is usually no use seeing i dont ever get to go and when i do dont catch anything) which is why i seldom post. But, hopefully in the near future all that will change. I think the lack of fish biting and being caught has got everyones attention somewhere else.......hence all the whining and bickering. Good Day!
