    Default Cordele- Stripling's General Store

Is this a restaurant and store or just a store? Is it a pricey tourist place or somewhere locals shop? A friend told me about it and I thought some of ya'll might know about it. Andy

    Default Stripling's General Store

It is just an oversized convenience store that specializies in meats. The weekenders shop there. They have a good selection of food items and, yes there is a selection of souveniers.

Just below Striplings toward the lake is Salt Lick. It is the location of the old Stripling's and it does have a resturant beside it called Sheila's. It has a very good buffet at lunch and at night on weekends it has a seafood buffet. Not sure about night during the week. I am talking about the location on Hwy 300 toward Albany. Striplings also has a location on 280 at the entrance to the park

Salt Lick meat is awesome and decent priced (actually better than any grocery store), better than Striplings. Sheila's Resturant is a great place to eat as well.

I prefer the Salt Lick. Have been in both stores several times, and find the Salt Lick better for my taste.
Sheila's is worth the drive from most anywhere. I eat there often on the weekends. The hot bar, with the seafood is awesome. A little pricey, but worth it for what is offered.

Andy, you will much enjoy Shelia's seafood buffet. It's very flavorful, not bland like most places...Two thumbs up
