There are actually 365 and 1/4 days in a year. Let's leave leap years out of our figuring to make it more simple. President Obama has been in office for almost 1 full year, minus a few days.
Now we know that 1/2 of 365 is roughly 182.5. And again, in a attempt to keep it simple... we'll just call it 182 as 1/2 a year.

My perception of the "minority" point that was trying to be made was in reference to President Obama's policies, not the color of his skin. I think the post made that very clear.
