Jim Shaw's on Vineville ave. is very good.

I hear the Fish and Pig at Tobo is good, but I've not tried it.

If your willing to drive a little south of Macon, about 20 mins, there are a couple in Warner Robins area I like a lot.
There's Creekside, which is about a mile due west of I-75 on Hwy 96. I think that's exit 142. It's called "housers mill rd" exit, just North of Perry, Ga.
Then there's Snellgrove's in Centerville, Ga. You can get to it by heading south to Warner Robins exit, I think exit 146. Head East towards Warner Robins, at Houston Lake and Watson, turn left. Go approx 3/4 of a mile.. and it's on the right... next to the post office. These two, both are very good... home cooking kinda fish. I think they both offer all you can eat.
Ms. Dot at Creekside has great cole slaw.... and homemade pickles.

There are several in Macon... but I really like Jim Shaw's.

I will second that on Snellgrove's. The fish are very good. It is about 5 miles from the house and we eat there a few times a month. I know that they are only open Thursday, Friday and Saterday. I think Creekside is the same way not sure. At Snellgrove's it is about $11 for all you can eat. LIke Jeff said if you do go to Macon and not Warner Robins go to Jim Shaw's

Claudetts kitchen in byron has some of the best fish and seafood in middle ga and at a good price. Located two miles south of Byron on Hwy 49. Also Polly's in Macon has some of the best shrimp I've ever eaten.

It was funny that you called for a fish house. That is what many of my family call Captain D'. Guess I should hate to admit it, but I think Capt. D's has some of the best fried fish I have ever tasted. Not greasy, just good. Now I know some of you die hard corn meal fried fish eaters are going to balk at this, but I guess it is all in what you like.

haven't kept a fish in 5 years for that reason. not that I don't love crappie but my wife and my daughter won't eat a piece of fish unless it comes in a captian-D's box and has a inch of batter on it. So basically if I want some crappie I have to cook for myself. Mabie my dog will eat some with me, worth a try.

I'll second that on Captain D's now, besides my homemade slab filets (which are said to be best in the south), i love Capt. D's and love that seafood platter. Them crab cakes aint no joke.......their southern fish plate aint to shabby either.

I ate at jim shaws last week and got the fresh grouper blackened and it was terrific. not complaints, and I heard that the fish n pig is owned by the same people that run jim shaws. one of these two would be my choice if i were you.
they had all kinds of fresh fish, and the gator tail was delicious

I think all of ya'll just need to attend a slabfest like Blakshear & then tell us about Captain D's. Or go to Riverbend Resturant on the Flint River & eat some of the best Cat Fish you could ever want to wrap your lips around. Making me hungry now.
