    Default Keaton Beach May 31 & June 1 2009

Kinda late posting this but figured since I cooked them tonight I would post them too!

Took the boys and a friend of mine from Ashburn down to Keaton Beach to fish for sea trout and whatever else bit. Fished two long days and these are the keepers we managed to land. The boys caught their own fish and it took them a little while to figure out how to fight these fish compared to crappie, but they caught on quick. Caught everything that swims the flats on this trip...sharks, cobia, sea trout, lady fish, black sea bass, flounder, spanish, bluefish, puffer fish, lizard fish, pinfish, and saw several sea turtles and sand dollars. I had no idea just how big those sea turtles actually get. We had one come right under the boat and was a big as my boat is wide! Crazy!! The boys had an absolute blast. We were supposed to go back this weekend, but just didn't work out. So, we ate'em instead of catching more!

    Enjoy.....

Shine you ought to be voted No. 1 dad tommorow. Those 2 boys should be very proud of such a great dad. Way to go on a great fishing trip.

Ya, those Blackened ones turned out the best! We ate all of them before we got to the table! Fast, good, and no clean up!

Headed back ASAP! I am out of fillets!
