Thank you for the welcome. I'm looking forward to digging through this forum and learning more about crappie fishing. I grew up in New England and spent summers fishing in western NY and Ontario. Fishing up there was pretty easy. Caught lots of bass and northern pike. When I started fishing at my home lake in KY, I had to spend some time learning how to fish (still have a lot to learn). Nolin Lake is supposed to be loaded with crappie, but I have had no luck fishing for them. I'm starting to wonder if the locals are messing with me; tell the Yankee to fish for crappie, tee hee hee. I've tried minnows, worms, and a half dozen different plastic grubs. I've searched brush piles, stumps, tried trolling. Nothing. So here I am. Ill have lots of dumb questions. Thanks to all in advance.
