Thank you very much for the warm welcome. Let me tell you a little about myself.
I currently live in Starkville, MS - have been for about 6 years. I'm in the process of moving over to a house we just closed on today on Neely Henry (Rainbow City side). Wife and I wanted to go ahead and buy our retirement house even though neither of us can retire yet. I had planned on retiring in about 2 years, but the financial market's slide in the last few weeks may have killed that idea for a while. Wife still has about 5 more years as a professor at MsState Univ before she can retire.
Before here, we lived in Bradenton, Fl. and Sarasota for over 20 years. By profession, I'm a tax analyst for a company that produces corporate income tax software. I've been doing that since 1991. I started out my professional career as a Navy Supply Officer and served about 3 years on active duty and then a couple more in the drilling reserves while I was working on my 2nd degree.
As to fishing, I definitely don't see myself as a "crappie fisherman". I tend to be more of a "fish-for-whatever-is-biting" kind of guy. I don't get really excited about fishing for green trout, but if one happens to bite I don't complain. I'm really looking forward to getting to know the members here. I understand that there is a fairly large number of members in the area of my new home and I'd especially like to have the opportunity to meet up this them on the water.
