    Hey Y'all,

    thank you for welcoming me to this forum. I'm new to the crappie scene, being from south Florida, I never trusted eating the fish from the canals and lakes down there so I stuck mostly with fishing for LM bass, peacocks, snakeheads, just catch and release...

    But on my first trip out in NC I caught a pretty good sized crappie and decided to try him for dinner (well a snack since he wasn't a slab) and was impressed. But alas, I've now been out twice and caught a total of two crappie, and the second one was released as he was pretty small.

    i look forward to learning some technique here that may help me increase the odds of having a crappie dinner, lol, I just think that's funny.
